**Union Fire Company and Rescue Squad Names Jackson Pfau as Firefighter of the Year for 2025**

The Union Fire Company and Rescue Squad is thrilled to announce that Jackson Pfau has been selected as the Firefighter of the Year for 2025. This esteemed internal award honors a member who exemplifies exceptional dedication, outstanding performance, leadership, and unwavering commitment to the department and the community we serve.

Jackson Pfau joined the Union Fire Company and Rescue Squad and has quickly become an integral part of the team, contributing significantly to emergency responses, training exercises, and departmental initiatives. In 2025, Jackson demonstrated remarkable skill and reliability during a demanding year that included high-volume call responses, specialized rescue operations, hazardous weather challenges and ongoing preparedness activities such as ice rescue training support. His proactive approach, teamwork, and positive attitude have inspired fellow members and strengthened the department’s ability to protect Titusville/Hopewell Township area.

“This recognition is well-deserved and reflects the high standards Jackson upholds every day,” said Chief William “Buddy” Tunnicliffe III. “His enthusiasm, dependability, and dedication to excellence make him a standout member of our volunteer family.
